UPDATE FROM THE JANUARY CLUB MEETING

UPDATE FROM THE JANUARY CLUB MEETING

The January club meeting shared the following updates.

Club Subscriptions

Thank you to everyone who pay their subs on time each month or annually.

As of the January meeting 12 players had not paid their subs for December and 4 players not paid for the previous 2 months.

If a player falls two months behind, they will not be able to play for the club until proof of payment has been received.

If anyone is struggling, please do speak to your coach or the club secretary and they will discuss how the club can assist.

Election of Club Roles

The meeting nominated and elected to the following positions in the clubs structure:

Girls Football Development Officer – Michelle Briddon

Development Officer – Jamie Wilbourn

Volunteer Co-ordinator – Sue Higgins

Winter Training

Unless training is cancelled by Active Hire, training will go ahead.

The club needs to give 2 weeks’ notice to cancel a training session, or we are still charged.

In the situation we are charged the team in question will become liable for the cost of the missed session from their teams’ funds.

Litter

We have received several complaints of litter around the Adlingtons Pitch.

Could we remind spectators and players to remove any litter from any pitches that they are playing on home and away.

The club must maintain relationships with partners to ensure we have enough pitches for all our teams to play on.

Tournaments

The Club currently pays up to £70 for each team to enter tournaments in the summer.

An increase to £100, due to rising prices, was agreed.

Summer Presentation Events

The club allocates funding for each team for trophies each year.

Between £15 – £20 per player will be available.

New Tupton Ivanhoe Summer Festival of Football

The Summer Festival of Football returns for three weekends this summer and it will be our largest yet. All the details are here.

If you know people who coach or families who have players in other teams, please do spread the word as there are a few places left in the tournament.

This is the biggest fundraiser for the club. If parents can spare some time to volunteer in the running of the event it would be really appreciated. Speak to you coach about how to get involved.

Sponsorship opportunities and stalls at the event are now available to book. You can read more here and if the company you work could support that would be amazing

Pitches

Teams will move pitches for the 2023/4 season depending on their age group. Your coach will confirm with you where you will play and train.

A new friendly pitch management system has been put in place for coaches to use to book pitches for the future.

Coaches who play on Pitch one and two were reminded to complete a divot check after each game.

Payments for expenditure

As a club we have a range of expenditure that is initially paid for by the Coaches.

This includes some referee’s fees, tournaments and trophies.

A new policy was agreed with reimbursements being paid out twice a month around the 15th and end of the month.

Next meeting

The committee meetings are open to all the parents of players in the club. If you would like to join the next meeting it will take place at Tupton Social Club on Thursday 16th February at 20.00.

If you can’t make it and have questions about the running of the club, please ask your coaches to raise them on your behalf.
