Step up and make a difference at New Tupton Ivanhoe FC

New Tupton Ivanhoe FC is calling on local people to step forward and become volunteer coaches for its growing football family.

The club is currently looking for support with Little Ivanhoes, Comets girls’ sessions, and new Under 7 and Under 8 teams. You do not need to have coached before. If you are positive, reliable, and enjoy working with children, the club will help you every step of the way.

Coaching grassroots football is about more than teaching the game. It is about helping children build confidence, learn teamwork, and enjoy being active. As a coach, you become a role model. You help create a safe and fun place where young players can develop skills and friendships that last a lifetime.

There are also real benefits for you. All new coaches receive support, including an introduction to football coaching, DBS checks, safeguarding, and first aid training. You will learn how to lead a group, plan sessions, and communicate clearly. These are valuable life skills that can boost your confidence at work and in everyday life.

The time commitment is flexible depending on your role. Supporting Little Ivanhoes or Comets usually involves around one hour a week. Coaching a team such as the new Under 7s or Under 8s typically takes around three to four hours a week, including training and matchdays. It is a small commitment that can have a big impact.

Whether you are a parent, former player, or simply someone who wants to give something back to the community, this is your chance to get involved.

If you are interested in becoming a coach at New Tupton Ivanhoe FC, get in touch with the club and take your first step into coaching.
